Applications are invited for a fixed-term Departmental Lecturer (Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology) post required for 12 months from mid-September 2018. The post is full-time (but applicants wishing to work on a part-time basis may be considered) and based at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, Oxford. The role is needed for a limited time to provide cover for teaching and administration whilst arrangements are made for the recruitment of an Associate Professor.

The School is seeking an inspirational teacher with both breadth and depth of knowledge of one or more of the key subject areas of the post and a full command of the relevant literature. You will teach, examine and supervise graduate students on the visual, material and museum anthropology programmes. You will possess a doctorate in a relevant field or will have submitted your doctoral thesis by the starting date.
